The CCE team picked a very special candidate for building the first Swiss "Bolt On and Ride" bike: Danny Schneider of HardNine Choppers. Danny is known for riding his bikes the hard way – as he had proven during his Freestyle Moto Cross career and continued during his subsequent passion with customizing "American Iron". His cross-over bikes combine traditional custom styles with BMX bicycles trends and Freestyle Moto Cross elements, often using authentic antique engines. The "base" for the project, a 2017 Harley-Davidson 883 "Iron" was acquired from Baechli Harley-Heaven in Dietikon, Switzerland´s biggest HD dealer - and most active in customizing. The sudden "revival" in American Dirt Track racing starting in spring 2017 with the renewed "rivalry" between Indian and Harley-Davidson has sparked new interest in the already popular "Dirt Track" and "Scrambler" styled motorcycles – and the Harley-Davidson XL "Sportster" models. More than just a touch of "Dirt Track/Super Moto" style is also added by the components used in the creation of this fabulous riding machine.
