These high-performance piston kits have been re-designed with stock ring lands, and are forged from high-silicone aluminum alloy that provides excellent wear and heat dissipation characteristics. The unique shape permits tight piston-to-wall learances for quieter operation. When combined with the ring package and CNC-machined anti-detonation grooves, it becomes one of the most technically-advanced pistons available. Sold in sets, complete with two pistons, rings, wrist pins and circlips. Some kits also include special head and base gaskets or complete top-end kits where indicated. Made in the USA.
What is Wiseco Armorglide skirt coating?
Wiseco ArmorGlide skirt coating is a dry film lubricant applied to the piston skirt. This coating helps reduce friction, improving performance, and will also help quiet the piston in the cylinder bore. This coating is permanently applied, and is not a break in coating, it is on the piston for the life of the part.
What is Wiseco ArmorPlating coating?
Wiseco ArmorPlating is applied to our RC series pistons, and select Sport Compact pistons. This high performance coating is applied to the piston crown, ring grooves, and piston pin bore. The coating on the dome helps protect the piston from the damage caused by detonation, and will actually harden over time from the heat caused by combustion. This coating is also applied to the ring groove, and helps eliminate micro-welding of the ring, and improve wear of the ring groove along with improving ring seal. The coating in the piston pin bore improves wear, reduces friction, and eliminates material deformation of the lockring groove.

These pistons feature an industry first ArmorFit coating on the piston skirt, as well as a proprietary ArmorX coating on the entire piston. They offer superior protection against wear, higher compression, smooth and quiet operation, and maximized efficiency. ArmorFit Skirt Coating: Forming to the shape of the bore CNC machined dome shape, along with the ArmorX coating, allows for more efficient power delivery and fuel use thanks to improved flame travel during combustion. The engine will operate smoothly and quietly throughout the entire RPM range.
