Punta Bagna, Courchevel, 05.-07.07.2024

Punta is over, and the conclusion is absolutely positive. Only the painful loss of Manu, Paul, and Ralph this year slightly dampened the mood during various program points and caused the assembled visitors to pause in thought momentarily.

Despite everything, Courchevel was once again the scene of an impressive event with numerous exhibitors and two outstanding bike shows: the Chopper Bike Show and the Clubstyle Bike Show. As in previous years, participants in the bike shows had to qualify by making the run up the mountain to the airfield. This qualification was marked by a sticker on the lamp and thus could also be assessed by the jury in the two bike show tents. This year, the jury was supplemented by renowned customizers such as Fred Krugger and Fred Duban.

Custom Chrome Europe enhanced its outdoor stand with three BOAR bikes: the Hellfire Lowrider ST from Rick's Motorcycles, the Undertaker Softail Fatboy from Thunderbike, and the Green Arrow Scout from Bike Farm Melle. Support came from Rick's Motorcycles with two impressive Clubstyle custom builds and from BSL with two custom builds and additional exhaust displays. All BOAR bikes completed the qualification runs to the airfield without any problems, and the Clubstyle scene in France has gained so much importance that an astonishing 120 participants climbed the mountain road to the airfield. About an hour earlier, the Chopper Run had already made its way to the high-altitude airfield, also impressing with numerous participants.

As a participant, the scenes at the airfield can only be described as epic against a breathtaking backdrop. Traditionally, Custom Chrome Europe sponsors an Ultima 96 cui Shovel engine, which went to the winner of the Chopper Bike Show. Incidentally, the winner in 2024 is the same as in 2023: DMC Toys 4 Men impressed the jury with the perfectly customized Panhead "Jungle Fever." Another prize sponsored by Custom Chrome Europe, a merchandise credit of €700, went to Greg Kustom for the beautifully designed EVO chopper creation with a frame in wood-look paint mixed with tiki decor and floral paint design.

In conclusion, it should be mentioned that the event and bike show organization team led by Fred Zebuth did an excellent job and perfectly filled the big shoes.
