Customizing a given "Scout" is a challenge, but it is possible – and it is possible in an equally wide variety of custom styles. "Spyke" is the rolling proof, built by Bad Kreuznach based Indian dealer SK Bikes. With the frame-motor-tank combination somewhat fixed, it is nevertheless possible to exchange the wheels again a set of RevTech design wheels – in this case the T5 design with "Midnight Series" double cut black/aluminum design – adapted with hubs especially created for the Indian "Scout" versions. With the stock fork performing quite well, the rear shocks were changed for Öhlins adjustable S46 shocks. TXT sheet metal fenders front and rear end the myth that is difficult to change the basic look of the "Scout": Especially the short cut tail end makes a difference from the bigger and more "bulky" stock fender parts. The "Bobber" style mini fender hinges over a 240 Metzeler tire, fitting the stock swing arm that originally houses a 150 rubber. Motogadget "M-Blaze" indicators act also as brake/taillight, which cleans up the tail end section considerably, a Cult Werk side mount license plate bracket re-locating the ugly big license plate of Germany. TXT also offers a Scout-fitting base plate to create a custom seat, which SK-Bikes had built for their interpretation of a cool "bobbing" Scout. The seating position as low as stock, handling is much more receptive, since the wide "Beach Bar" by Highway Hawk spreads the arms of the rider much more than the stock Scout handlebar. Kuryakyn grips and pegs add to the rideability. Kuryakyn also delivered the stylish „Accents“ to highlight some frame and body part sections of the bike. The „Sprint“ look chin spoiler, painted to match tank and fenders, is also of Kuryakyn origin.
